Our latest project involves HD video, graphics, branding and publications for the Renfrewshire Witch Hunt Project 1697.

The extraordinary tale of the life and works of Christian Shaw, a 15-year-old who handled evil, avarice, acuity, and sadism with equanimity, is a story which really hasn’t had the credit it deserves.

There was nothing this gal wouldn’t do… During her life of 50 (very) odd years, she put the “f-f-f-f” into feminism, the “f-f-f-fear of God in whomever crossed her path, sent eight innocent people to their death (seven were garroted after the Bargarran Witch Trials and one died in prison), “lost” a few husbands on the way, indulged in industrial espionage, and was pre-eminent in making Paisley the epicentre of the world’s thread industry. This story makes the Salem Witch Trials look like a Massachusetts country pageant, so watch this space.

To accompany the film, Fablevision Studios will also be publishing a booklet with tales and illustrations, which document the highs and lows of Paisley’s fortunes from 1697 to the present day.
