FareShare: Catering for the Vulnerable
Studios’ team joined MoveOn Scotland at Whiteinch Centre and FareShare’s South Street depot today to film how its food redistribution and supply service works in practice. The Centre, a local social hub and café, uses food from the service to provide high quality, nutritious meals at affordable prices for vulnerable local people.
More filming will take place this Friday when the team moves on to other recipients, Flourish House, a charity which helps those with mental illness to recuperate and regain a purposeful place in the community, and Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre, another important local centre which operates The Cherry Tree Cafe and provides a range of classes and activities for those of all ages living in the locality.
